Look

Thursday, January 08, 2009

over the past weeks zul did quite a good job to urge or more appropriately, forcing me to make a video/photo montage about non-other than the infamous yet smelliest, batch 10. go ahead and check it. all the photos are compiled from various sources, from cellphones to digital cameras to SLRs. do shirk and cry at it. but most importantly laugh your lungs out whenever fadzil's face pops out. yes, a little bit of fadzil makes your life more meaningful doesn't it? make sure you thank him. cool.

Blast From The Past

Saturday, October 18, 2008
while i'm busy pretending to be busy seizing the day, at one point i was bored and i figured i can't just sit around and do nothing anymore. time is just too much for me to waste. i tried doing lots of stuff... and also neglecting doing all those stuff. the fun started when i began my random search inside the hidden and lost empire of my old handy drive. and oh boy, i was surprised. look what i found. photos of me and my batch back in the early "salesman looking" days.
naaro1
my head is big enough to cover the whole class. and *popping the collar still won't hide it.

naaro
sanjay thinks suresh is taking a picture of him wearing glasses backwards. but suresh gets clever.

naaro2
this is how joe looks like before the global warming issue arises.

naaro3
the stevie wonder of physics.

and for the last picture, i just don't know what's wrong with this dude. he looks very unhappy and i still remember what he said after i press the shutter button. he was furiously trippin. what an absolute idiot.
naaro4
washed- up, strung-out, has-been, jerk, snitch, seven layered loser.

and there you have it.

*oh by the way, don't pop your collar. it’s taking an otherwise perfectly normal shirt and sabotaging it. that fashion crime would be like manslaughter. popping your collar is murder one.

Batch 10 Video

Saturday, August 30, 2008
here is a video montage i made focusing on the topic of how to lick your elbow using only the internet, a digital camera and 18 rib-tickling people of which i call them batchmates. do watch it by clicking the play button on the player below. plus, if you're the type of person that enjoys youtube, you should click here. if you want to view it using vimeo, then click here. but if you want to watch it here in my page, then do nothing. unless you don't obey the second sentence that i've typed before in this paragraph.

enjoy it. or most probably, neglect it.

It Just Make Sense

Wednesday, April 30, 2008
well here it is. another installment of our day in the classroom with capt. kumar and capt. chopra. that being said, also check out the looks of hate that sanjay throws me the entire time in the video below. i guess that’s how he truly feels about working together in the class with me as a batchmate. his face says it all. and don’t think i don’t notice. also, check out what zul is saying in the video. if you didnt catch it once, don't worry be patient because zul will repeat the same phrase again. zul, i'm telling fadzil!

p.s - fadzil is trying to copy me as being an artsy person by writing some vague words on my nameplate. but if you look closely, he is trying to tell us something... he thinks guys are cool. i guess that explains everything. and his all time favourite tune is the "ymca" song by the village people. need i say more?...have a good day people.

Civil Aviation Authority 2 Update

Thursday, April 24, 2008
for the last 2 weeks batch 10, is doing caa 2 and flying. the performance subject is quite tough, and we'll be starting load and balance this week. everyday it will consist of 3 periods of learning. sometimes it goes to 4. nevertheless, it already gets boring after the second period. during caa 6, i became a lone ranger and my desk is next to the wall. but this time, i was located at the middle of the class with ariff beside me. and when i said middle, i mean dead-center middle. and yeah, i have a new surroundings whenever i shift my head around.

when i look downwards, this is what i see.

while i was doing that, on my right, i can hear ariff coughing roaringly and at the same time shoving his drug up through his nose. check out his supplement.

with sheer amazement i looked at ariff, then i got distracted with a tongue twisting voice of sanjay, coming from the back. oh yeah, sanjay sits behind me. and as always, joe, sanjay's soulmate is always with him.

just to wrap things up, i decided to experiment on new things by putting on ariff's glasses. by all means i think i look like bill gates. or maybe more accurately, i also need to wear glasses so that i can see my own face with better clarity.

A Lots Of Stuff About Nothing

Monday, March 10, 2008
with just 2 weeks to go before our caa6 exam, we have basically 2 worksheets on each subject finished, and we'll be finishing 2 more next week. we're all still in normal mode even though the stress factor is always there. everyday we woke around 6 or 6.30 in the morning, get on the bus and sit in class. we joke around, we play the fool, and soon it turned out we realized that we are actually fools. nevertheless, we do that over and over again. it's like we're living on a treadmill. just when you think you're getting serious, someone(usually mac) breaks out with a nasty fart-jokes. overall, all i can say is that all of us still cant differentiate sine and cosine, and at the same time, we're unaware that the exam is literally two weeks from now. terrific.

the picture above, is regarding how ariff and joe told me when i asked them what is "instrument" is all about. joe is making sense but ariff...no, ariff thats totally not instruments. anyways, rodney is trying to his best to enter the picture. i would have included a photo of sanjay teasing zul, but i couldn't manage to take a shot during the teasing moment of this week. and also, he has spent the rest of the evening riddling with his tongue, lifting weights, and kayaking in the south china sea. so instead, here is a picture of me on board the van with smiling nepalese cadets and an odd finger from zul.

Getting Busy

Sunday, March 09, 2008
last week its all about plotting exercises. all in our mind for atpl is just plotting. we plot here and there. we plot ourself out. plotting every single day in every single way. plotting....ok you get it right? during night time we would gather and do it chart by chart.

and not to forget, joe is a maestro in navigational plotting. every night he would come over to our villa with all of his plotting gears, and help us. you can see him teaching zul and fadzil in the picture below. keep it up joe.

This Week In Review

Friday, March 07, 2008
within this week, we kept doing test papers everyday on each subject. and this will be continuing untill the day of our caa6 exam on the 25th and 26th of march. the exam fever is on, tough subjects felt like its getting tougher, time felt like its getting shorter, and fadzil looks like he's getting darker. nonetheless, the scar on the back of sanjay's head is very distressing.

not to forget, fadzil finally realized that he and sanjay may be brothers. they sat down together, took out a piece of paper and writing down all the names of family members on both sides, trying to find the bloodline between them. all of us batch 10 hope fadzil and sanjay for the best. it's like the greatest discovery ever known in the history of mankind. also, joe is giving the butt-pose. well done joe. well done. people, this is atpl.

This Is Comical

Thursday, March 06, 2008
as i was browsing through my computer, i found out a picture that i took around the early month of february that i forgot to upload it. its capt. chopra teaching zul. and the look on zul's face is priceless. nice

The Break Should've Already Been Started

Thursday, February 07, 2008
yesterday was the last day of ground school and flying before the chinese new year break. if it wasn't because of capt. chopra's class, all of us will already be in holiday mood since tuesday. but anyhow, when it comes to radio aids class, everyone will start opening books and read continuously...trying hard to understand the concept. below you can see ariff, capt. chopra's favourite student intensively reading about gpws.

and yeah, while everyone is busy hitting the books, mac...well mac keeps being mac.

he said he bear great resemblance to daniel craig. i don't know what to say.

Sanjay In Wonderland

Monday, February 04, 2008
well here it is. another installment of my day at apft with our nice friend sanjay "poodle" paudel. in this chapter, there are lots of corn flakes conflicts thats been happening between him and joe. warned: you may cry at the end of watching this video.

that being said, also check out the looks of hate that sanjay throws at macmillan at the end of the clip, near the whiteboard. check it. and also, i forgot to tell you that sanjay had a haircut. and his head looks great from behind. why you ask?...you'll know in the next post when we again, talk about sanjay. cheers.

ATPL Baby, ATPL

Friday, January 11, 2008

wow. this blog is still alive. holy whatever it is thats not dirty!... got it? not-dirty...dammit i suck. its one of things where you're trying to be funny and the next thing you know, you just realize that you sound like a total fool. have you ever had that kind of feeling?....no?...i have that all the time. ouch.

anyhow, ive started ATPL ground school. it started early december actually. but i don't have time to write about it. im busy. or trying to look like im busy. or in other words, it's just my excuse to make me sound like a stock broker investing for a multi-million dollar project who wakes up at 5 in the morning and eat bagle for breakfast. does that mean anything to you?... i dont think so. its been a month, and we're doing it combo style. we fly on monday and wednesday, and ground school for sunday tuesday and thursday.

cool.

Tonight We Dance

Friday, August 10, 2007
dcat is over. for almost 3 months we attend ground school classes and read all the books like there is no tommorrow, we've reached the point where we notice that there is still tommorrow. then, we were given 3 weeks for holiday. which means there are lots of tommorrow. also, most of this photos are from ridzuan... actually all of them are from ridzuan.

anyway in this, i continue to pull back the curtain about flying school living. the early morning alarm, the exams, the feeling after each exams, the chickens and also know what it's like to be the master of rambling typings.

yesterday consists of 4 papers and it's principles of flight, aircraft engines, electrics and airframes. the day before, which is wednesday, it's professional air law and human performance and limitations. and for no apparent reason, i got caught being like an ancient history mythological figure. and this picture deserved to be put in the
louvre. and the offer letter is on it's way right now. right?

so for now i have to leave you. and i'd like to leave you with one thought...unfortunately i ain't sure what it is. so bye for now.

Pretty Handsome Awkward

Monday, August 06, 2007

guess what i'm going to type?... all right, don't guess. because you'll be guessing ridiculous stuff like peeping nose hairs and bad breath. which is something i don't have today... yet. anyway, let's get to the point shall we. we have finished ground school, felt a bit sad, but the sadness ends when joe throws a loud nasty fart. well it sounds like that. the truth is, it's just a screeching sound from his chair.

ok now let's really get to the point. our dcat is this wednesday and thursday and after that we'll get our super long 3 weeks break. yes 3 weeks. and the story behind the lucky number 3 is that because our batch will be flying the brand new diamond aircraft. at least that's what they said. the diamonds right now are somewhere cruising on a ship. it's from austria and it'll arrive in klang. so which ocean they're on right now you ask? you do the math.

and below you'll find pictures of desperate guys trying their best to get attention.

Exam Hall

Friday, July 27, 2007
here, i gave all you nice people out there two pictures during our test week. below is zul caught cheating by me on camera

and here is ridzuan...dreaming

so yet again, an episode of a bored man in an exam hall comes to an end.

There's A Wheel Inside My Head

Thursday, July 26, 2007
this week was crazy. and next week will be crazier. we're doing test all the way until our exam day. it's really tiring at some point and it really gets my head spinning. hey you have panadol?

Two Weeks Till Hawaii

Friday, July 20, 2007
even though the title has nothing related with this post, yesterday was a total horror... actually this week was a total horror. we have theory of flight everyday, 3 periods back to back. just imagine, for 3 straight hours you'll be seeing nothing but an airfoil diagram, with lines flowing over them, straight and curly and zig zaggy and all sorts of lines. but we're glad we've completed all the topics, and starting next week, it's all questions. bye for now.

and mukesh wanted you guys to know that he took the picture.

DCAT's Around The Corner

Sunday, July 15, 2007
if everything goes as planned, our dcat exam will be on the 8th and 9th of august. so, i can use the phrase "so near, yet so far". but wait a second... it's "so far yet so near". oh god, i really suck at this. anyways, where was i? oh ok, the exam. as for now, we haven't finished the syllabus yet. but we're getting there. hopefully, by the end of this week we can swallow all the topics and subjects up, and start doing some exercises the first thing next week.

Short and Simple....and Sheer Laziness

Friday, July 13, 2007
blah blah blah... here are some pictures... blah blah blah we are all stoked...

i am smiling... blah blah blah...

ridzuan and macmillan actually was pretending that there was something funny to laugh about... blah blah blah... yes they are that good...

blah blah blah... unicorns and rainbows... blah blah blah... stupid wrap-up phrase here.

that is all

Hotty Day Afternoon

Monday, June 25, 2007
it's two weeks into dcat. which means, the nepalese's bahasa malaysia vocabulary is getting better, i can start to wear products again on my hair while still looking like an unsuccessful direct salesman, and not to forget, i can swear tremendously in nepali. here's one. machikne!! and yes, im not going to tell you what it means.

today during the engines period, we went to the hangar and we've got the chance to see how handsy sanjay gets when he's near the aircraft.

and as you can(or maybe can't) see above, it's bhogendra. he's trying to be friends with the pitot tube. and he tends to be a bit shy when the pitot tube compliments him.

and just to wrap it up, you can sweat like a marathon champion just by standing inside the hangar for 20 minutes.
